Addendum C – Cancellation and Refund Policy
Effective Date: August 29, 2025
1. Subscription Cancellation
All subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled by the user before the renewal date
- It is the sole responsibility of the subscriber to cancel their subscription through the Account page prior to the next renewal billing date to avoid further charges. Upon successful cancellation, a confirmation email will be sent. If you do not receive a cancellation confirmation, please contact support immediately.
- When cancelled the subscription will remain in effect until the end of the paid subscription period. No refund will be issued for the remaining partial period.
- VisualCV is not obligated to process cancellation requests submitted via email. Refunds will not be issued for failure to cancel unless there is verifiable evidence of a technical issue on our part that prevented the cancellation from being completed.
2. Refund Policy
We strive to provide the best experience possible. However, we understand that circumstances may require a refund.
Refund Eligibility:
VisualCV Pro Subscriptions:
- All Monthly Quarterly or Annual subscriptions, being either the initial subscription or a renewal of a subscription, are non-refundable once paid.
- When cancelled the subscription will remain in effect until the end of the paid subscription period. No refund will be issued for the remaining partial period.
- No refund will be issued for unused features, or lack of usage during a subscription period.
- No refunds will be issued in any case where the platform has been used during a billing period.
VisualCV Professional Resume Services:
- One-time payments for Professional Resume Services (Resume Writing, Resume Review, Resume Accelerator) are non-refundable once the service has been scheduled and is in-progress.
- If you purchased a Resume Service in error or have a change of mind, a refund request may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, only if the Service is not in-progress or completed.
3. Trial & Promotional Periods:
- Any trial or discounted pricing (via promo code) must be used within the specified timeframe.
- To avoid being charged the regular subscription fee for the next billing period, you must cancel your account before the end of the promotional period.
- Trial subscription payments are non-refundable.
- Always refer to your Account page for details on upcoming charges.
4. Limitations on Trials & Promo Codes:
- We reserve the right to limit each user to one trial period or a single promo code.
- Trials, promo codes, and other offers cannot be combined.
5. Billing Errors and Failed Payments:
- If you were charged incorrectly, please contact us at team@visualcv.com within 7 days of the transaction for review.
- If a payment fails, access to subscription features may be restricted until the payment is resolved.
6. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
- To cancel your subscription: Visit your Account Settings page.
- To request a refund (if eligible): Contact our support team at team@visualcv.com with your order details.
7. No Refunds for Misuse or Breach
No refunds will be granted if access is suspended or terminated due to misuse, fraud, or violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
8. Force Majeure
Refunds will not be provided in cases where access is disrupted due to events beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, natural disasters, government restrictions, or third-party service interruptions.
9. Discretionary Refunds
While our policy is strict, VisualCV or Workstory may, at its sole discretion, grant a partial or full refund as a goodwill gesture. Such decisions do not constitute a waiver or modification of this policy and shall not set a precedent for future cases.
